SAVE A WORKBOOK

After completing this lesson, you should know:

  • How to save a workbook in the correct folder
  • How to update a workbook

 

SAVE A WORKBOOK

  1. File → Save
  2. (OR Click on the Save shortcut on the Quick Access Toolbar OR use the shortcut Ctrl S)

  3. Choose where to save the workbook (Documents, Desktop, external device, etc)
  4. Change the File Name
  5. Save


 













UPDATE A WORKBOOK

  • Use one of the options for save (e.g Ctrl S)

The program will not ask you where to save it or what the name should be. You’ve done that already. Excel will just update your saved file to include all the new work you’ve done since the last time you saved.
