- How to change the page orientation
- How to set the margins
- How to scale your document for printing
Most of the Page Setup settings can be found in the Page Setup group on the Page Layout ribbon tab.
CHANGE THE PAPER SIZE
Make sure that the paper size is set correctly for your country.
Page Layout ribbon tab → Page Setup group → Size → choose the preferred paper size.
CHANGE THE PAGE ORIENTATION
Decide between landscape and portrait.
Page Layout ribbon tab → Page Setup group → Orientation → choose the preferred orientation.
SET THE MARGINS
To change the margins, use one of the following methods:
- Page Layout ribbon tab → Page Setup group → Margins
- Preview the document for printing (Ctrl P) → Click on Margins under Settings
For more options or to centre the document on your page when printing, click on Custom Margins → Centre on page
SCALE THE DOCUMENT
Your document often flows over to a second page when printing, but it is only a few rows and/or columns. You can solve this problem by using the scaling option in Excel.
To scale the document for printing, use one of the following methods:
Preview your document for printing (Ctrl P) → Click on Scaling under Settings → choose Fit Sheet on One Page or any other suitable option
Page Layout ribbon tab → Scale to Fit group → choose number of pages (width and height)
Note: The percentage next to Scale will indicate the size of the printed page (e.g. 70%) of the original size (100%).
